Parent Consultation ~ Adult Therapy ~ Adolescent Therapy ~ Child Therapy

There are some issues for which there are therapists in the area who are more qualified than I am. These include Sexual Abuse, Substance Abuse, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Eating Disorders. If one of these is your primary concern, I can give you a referral for another provider.

Parent Consultation

For young children, or children/adolescents who are unwilling to participate in therapy, parent consultation can be an effective form of assistance. Sessions discuss anything from setting up routines that work for the whole family, to how to best support your anxious child, to how to stay connected with your teen. Parent consultation is always available at your request, and sometimes recommended in addition to individual therapy with child and adolescent clients.

Adult Therapy

Are you struggling with parenting decisions?—going through an adjustment such as a divorce or new career? Maybe you’re struggling to manage current stressors in your life. Have a long history of depression or anxiety? Adults seek therapy for a number of reasons. Individual therapy sessions run between 45 and 60 minutes. Depending on client need, appointments may be weekly, biweekly, or on an as needed basis.

Adolescent Therapy

Confidentiality is important in all therapeutic relationships, but may be even more of a concern for adolescent clients who are developing autonomy and personal agency. My therapy with adolescent clients is, therefore, built on a “zone of privacy” so that they are comfortable enough to discuss topics without fear of repercussions.

Child Therapy

I work individually with children ages 8 and up. I often involve parents so they can assist their child in following up with what they have learned in therapy (e.g., coping skills), or to assist the parent in making changes in the home environment that may be beneficial for their child (e.g., how to respond to their child's anxiety). My direct work with children includes play, stories, creating art, and use of engaging animations.
